"Recreational real estate development can live in peace with conservation and ecology - I'm Jack Galanek, and we've proved it at Wildwood."

In 1964, an idealistic young man named Jack Galanek came across a beautiful tract of land in Tolland, Massachusetts while cruising timber for his father's lumber company. Jack has moved on, but the community of vacation homes he founded on that land, where people live in the midst of nature while respecting and protecting its pristine environment, is the Wildwood of today.

Wildwood is a private community covering 740 acres, of which 40% is in its natural state. It contains a variety of houses situated in woods, at lakeside or with a lake view. Wildwood is supported by membership dues paid by property owners.
